I found this cover of Bike Magazine from May 1998. Things have certainly changed a little since then. According to the headline 1998 was "The Brake Revolution" and "Little Bikes are the Future." It's almost 2008 and as it turns out everyone is riding little bikes (compared to what people rode in the 90's) with disc brakes. Way to go Bike Mag.
